This slipware vase has been remade from a mold dating back to 1950, discovered in the archives of a Portuguese ceramics workshop. The manufacturing method, colors, and finishes are strictly identical to those of the vases made at that time.

This piece comes from a small workshop located in the Central-West region of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. Its design is characteristic of what is known as Caldas da Rainha ceramics, with the most famous creator being Bordallo Pinheiro.
The molds used in this workshop have been passed down through generations, and the current owner now uses his grandfather’s molds. Every piece is carefully handcrafted, and the production is highly limited.
