This piece comes from a small workshop located in Central-West Portugal, in the Estremadura region. Its design is characteristic of what is known as Caldas da Rainha ceramics, whose most renowned figure is Bordallo Pinheiro.
The molds used in this workshop have been passed down from generation to generation, and the current owner still uses his grandfather’s molds. Every piece is carefully handcrafted, and production is extremely limited.
