This piece comes from a small workshop in the Center-West of Portugal, in the Estremadura province. Its design is characteristic of what is known as Caldas da Rainha ceramics, whose most famous creator is Bordallo Pinheiro.
The molds used in this workshop have been passed down from generation to generation, and the current owner is now working with his grandfather's molds. Each piece is carefully made entirely by hand, and production is very limited.
