Ceramic Swallow from Caldas da Rainha - Light Green

This green ceramic swallow was created in the Caldas da Rainha tradition made legendary by its famous inventor Bordallo Pinheiro.

It is made in a small ceramic workshop in Caldas da Rainha and boasts a remarkable finish: the ceramic is smooth and without surface defects, the edges are prominent, the colors even and the finish very shiny.

Available in various colors and sizes, it is designed with a ventral hole, enabling it to be wall-mounted or laid flat on a piece of furniture

This swallow comes from a small workshop located between Caldas da Rainha and Obidos in the centre-west of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. 

The moulds used there have been handed down from generation to generation and the owner of the workshop now uses his grandfather's moulds. All parts are made entirely by hand
