Quinta de São Luiz is located on the left bank of the Douro River, near Pinhão. It is an impressive estate, considered one of the most emblematic in the Douro region.
Acquired by the Kopke family in 1922, the estate is made up of vineyards with varying sun exposures and plots at different elevations. The vines are planted vertically along steep slopes, which reach gradients of up to 70% in some areas. The estate covers 125 hectares, 90 of which are planted with vines.
