This piece comes from a small workshop located in the Central-West of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. Its design is characteristic of what is known as Caldas da Rainha ceramics, with Bordallo Pinheiro being one of its most renowned creators.
The molds used in this workshop have been passed down from generation to generation, and the current owner still uses the molds of their grandfather. Every piece is meticulously handcrafted, and production is very limited.
