This piece comes from a small workshop located in the Central-West region of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. Its design is characteristic of what is known as Caldas da Rainha ceramics, with the most famous artist being Bordallo Pinheiro.
The molds used in this workshop are passed down from generation to generation, and the current owner still uses the molds that belonged to their grandfather. All pieces are meticulously handcrafted, and production is very limited.
